THE VISION OF THE WAILING WOMEN

What Is The Move Of The Wailing Women?

The move of THE WAILING WOMEN is essentially a call to prayer. It is the Lord Himself raising an army of Spirit filled women worldwide to labour in fervent intercession for the cleansing and unity of the Church and the nations of the world. It is a call to stand in the gap for families, neighbours, the Church and all those who are perishing in the world. The call of the Wailing Women is contained in Jeremiah 9: 17: “Thus saith the LORD of hosts, consider ye and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.”

Our ultimate concern is to do the will of the Master. To this end, we preach repentance from dead works, calling men to righteousness. We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ to receive the Church unto Himself. We warn men of the coming judgment over all the earth (Isaiah 24:1-6).

We invite all intercessors to pray for revival and unity in the Church. It is only in unity and purity that the Church can begin to operate in power as in the apostolic era. Our desire is to see God’s work prosper on the earth for the purpose of enlarging the Kingdom of heaven (Isaiah 2:2-3).

This move is part of the new thing that God is doing on the earth in this end-time as predicted by Joel the prophet (Joel 2:28-29).

The women in this move are normal everyday women who have accepted Jesus Christ into their lives, and whose lives are released to the Holy Spirit for continuous transformation.

A Global Army

The vision for this work is global, and membership is open to women from all walks of life, all strata of society, different Christian denominations and all races. For easy administration, each country has a team of coordinators at the national, regional and state levels. The emphasis is on teamwork and the ultimate aim is to raise servant-leaders who can do God’s work in God’s way.

The move started in Nigeria, in May 1998, with a cry from God’s heart to His daughters concerning the spiritual state of the Church and the Nigerian nation. Through a prophetic utterance, the Lord specifically asked that women be raised from the 36 States of Nigeria (across denominational boundaries) to intercede for the Church and the nation. He promised that if women came before Him in true repentance, He would avert the impending judgment on the nation.

The first meeting was held at Comer Stone Foundation, 2B, Ozuzu Close, D/ Line, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. This meeting, which was a solemn assembly, lasted for two days (May 8 and 9, 1998). From that first mobilisation the women have held several solemn assemblies, asking God to root out corruption and other vices from Nigeria and thwart the evil plans of Satan over the nation. Subsequently, the same pattern was adopted to reach other nations of the world where the Spirit of God specifically directed Wailing Women Worldwide.

So far, teams of Wailing Women have carried God’s messages to the following countries: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Japan, Kenya, Togo, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger Republic, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Morocco, Nigeria, Norway, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, U.S.A., Uruguay, Equatorial Guinea, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Grenada, Jamaica, Israel, Mali, Mauritania, Mexico, Haiti, Saint. Lucia, Ireland, Sudan, Canada and some others. They have also established the work in most of these nations. Slowly but surely, the knowledge of the glory of the Lord shall fill the earth, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).

Women of Tears

Wailing is a very high form of intercession. Wailing and lamentation are called for when impossible cases need to be handled. Prayers over seeming impossibilities do not yield results when they are carried out in the flesh. The Holy Spirit helps us to pray with such intense groaning and wailing that can produce results (Romans 8:26).

Interceding with deep lamentation in the Holy Spirit often helps us to secure results that ordinary prayers cannot produce. Deep wailing, which emanates from our innermost being, like a big tidal flood, goes with passion. It comes from a broken and a contrite heart. Genuine repentance with tears always produces results.

Wailing women are not called to cry a pretentious, dry and passionless cry. They howl and scream like a woman who has lost an only son. They weep uncontrollably in a way that can touch even the most hardened hearts. That is why they are given the mandate in this season to wail for the sake of the Church and the nations.

A tear is very effective and is needed for the following reasons:

  1. It moves God to action and causes Him to release healing (Mark 9:24; 2 Kings 20:1-11).
  2. It releases forgiveness. An example is the story of Mary Magdalene in Luke 7:38-39.
  3. It yields greater harvest of souls (Acts 20:18-22; 2 Corinthians 2:3-5). It is recorded that Paul served God with many tears, and the travail of his soul ushered in many into God’s Kingdom. Paul discipled his converts through teaching and strong tears of intercession.
  4. It brings speedy intervention by God (psalm 6:8; Exodus 3:7-9). God understands perfectly the language of tears and acts speedily when heartfelt tears pour out before Him.
  5. Dead situations/things receive new life (Joel 2:13). The case of Lazarus in John 11:35 is a perfect example of this. We need those who can weep before the Lord in fervent intercession, asking the Father to restore life back to the Church.
  6. It instils righteousness unto the Church (Ephesians 3:18-19).
  7. That believers will regain confidence in the word of God and live righteous lives.
  8. It helps the body of Christ operating in unity to grow into perfection, thoroughly furnished unto good works (Ephesians 4:3-6).
  9. It strengthens the Church to arise in power and impact the world as was the case in the days of the Apostles.
  10. It restores our joy as believers (Lamentations 5:15).
  11. It returns elders to their position at the Gates (Lamentations 5:12-14).
  12. It deals with our unrighteous foundations. “Our fathers sinned and are no more, but we bear their iniquities” (Lamentations 5:7). Our unrighteous foundations are speaking against us. By our wailings, we will call forth our restorations.
  13. It drowns the speaking of bloodshed in our nations with the speaking of the blood of Jesus (Lamentations 4:15).
  1. It wipes away the stench of immorality released into the Church and our nations with the blood of Jesus and brings an end to such activities from the pit of hell.
  2. It helps believers to return to God and heed sound doctrine and not become drawn to deceiving teachers who preach fables for gain.
  3. It delivers the Church from every form of contamination by the agents of Babylon (Micah 4:11b).
  4. It encourages the daughters of Zion to arise and thresh because they are the battle-axes of the Lord. They have to get actively engaged in spiritual warfare, using the right weapons to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4-6).
  5. It causes the Spirit of God to raise men in every nation, every tribe, every kindred who will warn the world to flee from the coming judgment, knowing how terrible the day of the Lord will be (Malachi 4:1-3). It tears the covering cast over the nations and the Church. It brings sight to the blind and releases understanding. It also delivers them from complacency and misplaced priorities.
  6. It restores the Church from her deplorable state to a glorious state. Jeremiah wept over the deplorable state of the Church in Lamentations 1:8-10. We must entreat the Lord to show us mercy. Daily, we must pray that the house of God will be restored to a house of prayer for all nations (Ezekiel 8:6).

It restores the fear of God to the Church. God’s fear has waned in the Church in our time (Malachi 1:6).

The reason why God has issued the call for the Wailing Women is to provoke tears of true repentance that the Church and the nations of the world will learn to worship God in spirit and in truth. This will salvage the world from crisis. A wave of terror is sweeping over the world. In the midst of this unprecedented violence, the nations of the world will gradually divide into opposing camps. The Lord is intent on taking the Church back to the Old Pathway. This is to ensure that “the kingdoms of this world do become the kingdom of our God and of His Christ” (Revelation 11:15). The scene is being set for the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and God is preparing His army for the last great battle of our time (Revelation 19:19). The emergence of the Wailing Women at this point in the history of the world is a sign that God is rounding up events leading to the judgment. As it were, we are approaching the climax of history.

Watchmen

Teams of Wailing Women serve as “watchmen” at the gates of nations. The Wailing Women have worked tirelessly behind the scenes in several countries where they are located, praying and asking God’s guidance and protection upon entire populations threatened by violence. We must pray for the safety of good leaders whose lives are often at risk. We must call forth peace in the world. We must serve unobtrusively as “Aarons” and “Hurs”, to raise prayer shields over good leaders. Through prayers, we must ward off any evil, which may threaten the peace and stability of our cities. In fact, our job is to travail in prayers until the will of God is done in every sector of life in every nation and continent of the world. Any nation that has viable teams of Wailing Women is blessed because they act as national gatekeepers to intercept evil from invading their nations.

Among other things, Wailing Women are expected to do the following:

  • Mourn, sigh and bring repentance before God regarding the level of violence and sin in the world.
  • Intercede and travail in prayers to help bring men to a point where they can make a decision to live for God.
  • Teach our daughters how to wail and our neighbours how to bring lamentations for sin before God.
  • Serve as “errand girls” bearing messages for the Lord God Almighty. Therefore, we have to go at His command to every part of the globe where He sends us on assignment.
  • Plead for mercy that God would turn away His wrath from our nations (2 Chronicles 7:14).
  • Serve as God’s battle-axes and weapons of war (Jeremiah 1:10, 51: 20-23).
  • To root out wickedness,
  • To pull down strongholds of darkness.
  • To destroy Satan’s evil works.
  • To throw down altars of darkness.
  • To help build God’s house, even the Church of Jesus Christ.
  • To help plant the engrafted word of God in the hearts of men as well as help to ensure that the will of God is done around our communities and nation(s) so that the Kingdom of God will come (Matthew 6:10).
  • To pray for the restoration of all that Satan has stolen from families, communities and nations (Isaiah 58:12).
  • Pray for the salvation of Israel and usher in a massive wave of repentance across nations (Joel 2:12-17).
  • Serve as a disciplined squad in God’s end-time army. Wailing Women Worldwide are trainees in God’s end-time recovery army. We must willingly and happily do any job assigned to us to help salvage situations anywhere there is an emergency.
  • As the eleventh-hour workers in God’s vine-yard, we are called to put in the sickle and gather the harvest of souls waiting in the valley of decision (Joel 3:13-14).
  • God is putting the Wailing Women as fire in the nations to overcome the rising up of counterfeit women. The difference will be clear, for by their fruit they shall be known. For the Wailing Women: “Let him that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity” (2 Timothy 2:19).
  • As God’s prophetic trumpet blowers, we must sound the alarm to wake up the mighty men and build the glorious Church.
  • To warn the Church and the nations of the world of God’s judgment, and call men everywhere to repentance.
  • They are called to intercede, to divinely turn around seemingly hopeless situations as in the case of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1 and the importunate widow in Luke 18:1-8.
  • To bring harmony where there is discord. Abigail did this for her husband and saved her household (1 Samuel 25:23-37).
  • Preserve lives in times of emergency by fighting the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12).
  • Esther rose up to this kind of situation in the 4th and 5th chapters of the Book of Esther. So did Deborah in 4th and 5th chapters of the Book of Judges.
  • To introduce the families of the earth, especially those in the household of faith, to God’s universal move of renewal (Psalms 104:30).

To set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1-3, Exodus 18:2-3, Isaiah 49:24-26). One way of doing this is to evangelize our neighbourhood.

Watchers in The Church

Spicing the body of Christ. They are to help season and give taste to the body (Luke 23:55-56).

Dispelling darkness and calling forth light (Isaiah 60:1). The women are to consciously pray to dispel the cover of darkness over the Church.

Publishing the word of truth (Psalm 68:11). “The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those that published it.”

Raising a prayer shield for ministers of the gospel. They are to provide a prayer shield as well as a covering fire for ministers of the gospel, who know the mind of God and are doing the bidding of God in this dispensation (the Man-Child Company).

Watchers Over Nations

In every nation, they are expected to change the face of that geographical entity for good. They have to intercede and bring down the hand of God over the land and continue until the land becomes a praise unto Jehovah (Isaiah 62:1-12).

  • They are to pray in a wave of national repentance. They are to pray and mobilize citizens of their nations towards mass repentance so that God’s power may be released to reverse the tide of evil in those countries.
  • Salvaging nations in crisis (Exodus 4:24-26). They are an embodiment of solutions in God’s hands. They are God’s co-labourers.
  • Reconciling creation to God (Ephesians 1:7-10, Revelation 10:9-10). We must use the word of God to reconcile creation back to God. We are also expected to minister to creation and enlist them into the battle as Deborah did with the stars and Joshua with the sun.
  • Repairing the old waste places (Isaiah 58:1, Deuteronomy 21:1-9, Proverbs 31:23; 22:6, Isaiah 62:10-12; 58:6). We are mandated to be repairers and builders of broken walls of shattered lives, dysfunctional marriages, Churches, etc.
  • God’s instruments to challenge satanic altars and agents. We have a mandate to neutralize the activities of satanic agents like the daughters of Tamuz in Ezekiel 8:13-14. The spirit of Jezebel is one of such spirits that need to be confronted.
  • Making legislations. Our God rules the universe by decrees. We are to arise and make decrees to cut off the evil we see in the world in this season, e.g. the New Age movements, cloning, etc.
  • To execute the judgment written in Psalms 149:6-9.
  • To be an extension of God’s healing hands to the hurting world.
  • To blow God’s warning trumpet to our generation and wake up the mighty men.
  • To undertake prophetic intercessions. This is praying with authority, making demands of God over situations. It is prayer made with the word of God by those who know their right in God. It is made with insight and revelations from the Holy Spirit.
  • To carry out God’s prophetic actions (2 Kings 2:19-20). This is an action done in faith under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Usually, the result achieved as a result of a prophetic action is nothing compared to the negligible action carried out.

To expose and confront the activities of witches (sorcerers), enchanters, diviners, etc.

Watchers In The Family

  • They are to raise godly, seeds for God in their homes and in the society (Malachi 2:15).
  • Teach our daughters, the younger generation wailing and our neighbours lamentation (Jeremiah 9:20).
  • Pray our husbands and the men of war into their destinies. Our husbands have their positions at the gate and should be well positioned -we are to ensure that.
  • Pray into the future of our children and ensure that they fulfil their mandates in life.
  • Obtain divine help in every seemingly hopeless situation (Luke 18:1-18).
  • Pray in harmony where there is discord (1 Samuel 25:23-37).
  • Preserve lives in matters of emergency (1 Timothy 6:12). Read the advice of Paul to Timothy. Zipporah rose up to such an occasion in Exodus 4:24-26. Esther did it also to salvage a whole nation (Esther 4 & 5. Read also Judges 4 & 5).
  • Introduce other families into the move and encourage them to stand (Psalm 104:30).
  • Pray for youths ceaselessly and cut them off from the spirit of the age.
  • Pray to set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1-3; 49:24-26).
  • Ensure that an atmosphere of love is found in the homes, especially among in-laws.
  • Like the virtuous women (who we are), ensure that there is health in our homes: Good food, tidy and clean environment, peace and harmony within.
  • Pray salvation into the families of the world.

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep (Psalm 127:1-2).
